ROMANESQUE ARCHITECTURE
Ripollès county is rich in Romanesque art, with many small rural hermitages and important abbeys in Ripoll and Sant Joan de les Abadesses. In “Palau de l’Abadia” at Sant Joan de les Abadesses (today’s Tourist Office) you can see an exhibition of models which faithfully reproduce 11th, 12th and 13th century churches in the area.
